Mechanical Fitter – Staff – Chemicals – Salary + Paid Call Out – £55K - £70K with Overtime – Stoke on Trent

Our client is currently looking for a skilled and reliable Mechanical Fitter to join their organisation on a staff basis.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carry out mechanical fitting and maintenance tasks on site equipment and systems.

* Strip down and rebuild a variety of industrial mechanical equipment.

* Remove and install pumps, including vacuum pumps.

* Work with hot oil and thermal heating systems.

* Perform welding tasks as required for maintenance and repairs.

* Participate in tank/vessel entry and cleaning operations.

* Carry out routine and reactive maintenance to reduce downtime and maintain plant efficiency.

* Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota (minimum 4 hours pay per call-out).

* Follow all site health, safety, and environmental procedures.

Experience & Qualification:

* Time-served mechanical fitter or equivalent experience with a solid background in industrial maintenance.

* Experience in stripping down and rebuilding mechanical equipment.

* Skilled in removing/installing pumps and working with vacuum systems.

* Basic welding skills are advantageous.

* Comfortable working in confined spaces (training provided if required).

* Flexible and reliable with a strong work ethic.
