ABC Teachers are recruiting for a Primary Teacher to cover in a year 1 class on a full-time basis (Or part time as part of a job share) at a school based in Moseley.

This position will be to start from September 2024 and will run for the whole academic year.

This an ideal position for an exeprienced teacher or ECT looking for their first teaching position. The school are prepared to support an ECT.

About the role

This role includes the following:

Working in a full class teacher role planning, presenting and assessing lessons and pupil progress.
Working on a full-time basis in a class based in a Key Stage 1 setting.
PPA time will be allocated within these hours as well as support with planning, meaning extra-curricular work is left to a minimum.
This will be long term cover starting from the 8th of April and lasting until the end of the academic year.

About the school

This school will be based in a Two form entry school located in the central area of Moseley.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Year 1 Teacher - you will:

Possess confidence in working effectively with children within the Key Stage 1 age group.
Demonstrate previous experience as a full-class teacher, particularly showcasing leadership during a significant summer term.
Display a commitment to undertaking a full-time teaching role, including comprehensive planning responsibilities.
Have proficiency in teaching phonics and utilizing the Read Write Inc. program.
Need a relevant QTS for working in a primary school environment, this is a compulsory part of registration.
Have or be able to obtain a DBS registered to the update service.
Be able to gain relevant references from the last 2 years.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
