Questech Recruitment are looking for a skilled engineer for one of our clietns on a contract basis in a fast-paced, high-volume environment this role will be based in York.

The Pay:
£35 - £40 p.h (D.O.E) **This Role Is Insdie IR35**

The Shifts:
4 on 4 off days and nights

The Role

* Provide reactive and planned maintenance across production lines

*

Support continuous improvement initiatives

*

Fault-find on electrical and/or mechanical systems

*

Minimise downtime and ensure maximum line efficiency

*

Work closely with production and hygiene teams to maintain food safety standards

What We’re Looking For

*

Proven experience in food manufacturing or FMCG environments

*

Strong fault-finding skills (electrical, mechanical, or multi-skilled)

*

Experience with PLCs, conveyors, packaging machinery, or automated systems

*

Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent)

*

Availability for shift work (days/nights depending on contract)
