Assembly Operative

Hourly Rate: £15.41

The role involves precision assembly and mechanical fitting within a dynamic production environment. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar role, a strong team-working ethic, and a high level of attention to detail.

Day-to-day of the role:

Assemble components in line with technical drawings and specifications.
Perform rework and fitting of components prior to final assembly.
Conduct precision measurement of components.
Identify and pick parts from the Kanban system.
Maintain full traceability throughout with paperwork and digital documentation.
Book sub-assemblies to stock.
Operate and record results from automated test rigs, including the installation and removal of gearboxes.
Collate components, preserve, and pack completed assemblies.
Contribute to improving and maintaining a high level of 5S throughout the assembly environment.Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in a precision assembly or mechanical fitting environment.
Strong team-working ethic and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
Excellent multi-tasking abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Willingness to learn new skills and be part of a multidisciplinary team.
High attention to detail and conscientiousness.
Familiarity with IT basics, Microsoft Office, and operating systems.
Comfortable with basic mathematical equations.
