We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Aston area of Birmingham, seeking a proactive, energetic Lunchtime Supervisor to join their Special Educational Needs (SEN) resource hub on a long-term basis.
About the School
This is a friendly, community-focused mainstream primary school with a strong emphasis on inclusion and supporting every child to reach their full potential. The school has a dedicated SEN resource hub catering for pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and sensory processing needs. The hub provides a nurturing and structured environment with tailored support from experienced staff.
Your Role
As a Lunchtime Supervisor in the SEN hub, your role is vital in ensuring the pupils have a safe, engaging, and enjoyable break time. You will:

    Supervise and support pupils during lunch in the SEN hub and playground areas
  * 
    Assist with eating and social interaction, adapting your approach to meet individual needs
  * 
    Encourage positive behaviour and model clear communication and routines
  * 
    Engage pupils in structured play and sensory activities during lunchtime
  * 
    Work collaboratively with the SEN team and teaching staff to ensure consistency and well-being
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
  * 
    A minimum of 6 months' experience working with children in the UK (school, nursery, or care settings)
  * 
    A genuine interest and understanding of SEN, particularly autism and communication needs
  * 
    A proactive, patient, and interactive approach to working with children
  * 
    The ability to manage behaviour in a calm and positive manner
  * 
    A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one through us)
