Zest Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Student Support Assistant to join a hardworking team at a welcoming two-form entry primary school in Rubery. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm, and offers the perfect opportunity to build a long-term relationship with a supportive school community.
As a Student Support Assistant, you will work across Key Stage 2 (KS2), supporting and encouraging children in their learning and development. This role is available to start as soon as possible and is ongoing.

Key Responsibilities
As a Student Support Assistant, you will:

Encourage positive student conduct and manage disputes according to school policies.
*
Create and maintain a structured, focused, and supportive classroom environment.
*
Assist with the implementation of structured learning activities across KS2.
*
Prepare and maintain classroom resources and assist pupils in their use.
*
Build strong working relationships with teachers, senior leaders, and parents.
Requirements
To succeed as a Student Support Assistant, you should:

Be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
*
Have a general understanding of the National Curriculum and learning programmes.
*
Have experience working with children in an educational setting (highly desirable).
*
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to obtain one

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
