Teaching Assistant (SEMH & ASC) - Fareham - Must drive!

Academics are recruiting on behalf of a small school in Fareham which caters for pupils aged 14-19 years, specialising in both social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) and autism (ASC). They currently have 27 pupils on roll who require 1:1 support with their learning. Pupils attending this school are preparing to transition into further education, or working towards a career.

All students have an EHCP and are offered tailored qualifications and experiences including vocational subjects, functional skills and GCSEs.

They are looking for an empathetic and nurturing Teaching Assistant with experience of supporting young people with SEMH and/or ASC. You will be required to support students on a 1:1 basis in the classroom and off-site so this is only suited to a driver, ideally with access to their own vehicle.

This is an on-going, temp to perm position starting in September.
