We are working with a well-established precision engineering company in Buckinghamshire are seeking an experienced Toolmaker to join its specialist tooling team. Being at the top of this field for decades, they are well-versed in delivering specialist tooling to the motorsport, aerospace and defence sectors.
The role involves manufacturing and assembling press tools, jigs, fixtures, and complex precision assemblies. You will work from detailed engineering drawings, 3D CAD data, and customer specifications to produce tooling to tight tolerances. Duties include manual machining, precision bench fitting, spotting and fine adjustment, and providing support to other areas of the Machine Shop.
You will conduct tool trials, evaluate performance, and implement refinements to achieve required accuracy and durability. The position also includes maintaining, modifying, and improving existing tooling, working closely with design, inspection, and production teams to ensure successful project delivery.
