Job Title: Maintenance Assistant
Location: Devizes
Days: 07:30 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday and 07:30 - 12:30 Fridays
Duration: Temporary 6 months (possibility to extend)
Pay Rate: £15.14 per hour

About the Role

We're recruiting for a Maintenance Assistant to join a world-leading manufacturing company in Devizes on a 6-month temporary contract.

You'll work as part of an experienced maintenance team, supporting with general site maintenance, equipment servicing, and small installation projects. This is a hands-on, varied role that will suit someone practical, reliable, and confident with basic plumbing and building maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out routine facilities and plant maintenance across the site
Support with plumbing work (hot and cold water systems, drainage, etc.)
Assist with equipment installations and repairs
Help maintain the building, grounds, and general site facilities
Work safely and follow company procedures at all times
Support other team members and on-site contractors when required
Keep basic maintenance records and update job logs

Skills & Experience required

Hands-on experience in general maintenance or facilities work
Plumbing experience (essential)
Basic mechanical skills or plant knowledge (desirable)
Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Organised, reliable, and able to work independently or in a team
Flexible and willing to assist across different maintenance tasks
