Role Summary
Job Title: Purchasing Assistant
Location: Carnforth
Hours: Mon–Fri, 08:00–17:00 (Full-Time, Permanent)
Reports To: Global Product & Innovation Director
? Purpose of the Role
To support the Product and Purchasing teams by maintaining product and supplier data, supporting new product development, ensuring compliance, and keeping internal systems accurate and organised.
?️ Key Responsibilities
Product & Library Management
Log and maintain sample data in digital systems
Organise physical product samples and maintain the product library
Keep supplier product information current
New Product Development
Liaise with suppliers for detailed product information
Coordinate sample materials and photography
Manage sample/stock availability and data sharing
Purchasing Support
Update goods-in tracker with delivery timelines
Admin support across both BAU and Bespoke purchasing streams
Compliance & Sustainability
Gather supplier sustainability and due diligence documentation
Prepare samples for third-party testing
Assist with FSC, PEFC, and ISO 14001 certifications
