Good Afternoon,

I am currently representing Kingston Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for a Portfolio Surveyor this role will be: KT1 1EU

PART TIME 3 DAYS PER WEEK (21.6 HOURS)

The right candidate will:

Surveyor required to manage a range of property but especially property sites used by Achieving for Children (AfC) and Adult Social Care (ASC) and some property disposals.

* Works with manager and colleagues to define outcomes, set targets and monitor performance, within a culture of continual improvement

* Supports operational plans to ensure that the resources within the teams are used to best effect and impact

* Strategic management of a portfolio of assets, owning Property’s relationship with the relevant Directorates, providing strategic direction to services to establish the best property solution for their needs, ensuring effective property management, compliance with statutory requirements, long term planning, and delivering financial budgets and performance targets, including any agreed savings, efficiencies and sustainability targets

* Develop investment and maintenance plans for individual properties, ensuring that there is an up to date evidence base on which to make investment decisions, and maximise the returns on investment

* Contribute to the implementation of the Council’s Property Asset Strategy, driving key targets and outcomes and leading on asset review and challenge processes for the portfolio of assets

* Contribute to setting, prioritisation, monitoring and management of budgets related to the portfolio of assets, and delivering the most commercially advantageous outcomes

We require the following:

* Extensive experience of strategic asset and estate management, and business partnering to deliver

* Extensive experience of managing a portfolio of properties

* Robust knowledge of property legislation and its strategic application
