Night Manager – Food Wholesale (Chesterfield) Salary: £55,000 – £100,000 DOE Permanent, Full-Time (Night Shifts: 8pm–5am, 5 Nights per Week)

Are you a seasoned night shift professional who thrives under pressure and takes pride in running a tight ship? We’re a well-established, family-run food wholesale business in Chesterfield looking for a driven and resilient Night Manager to take charge of our warehouse operations. This is a high-responsibility role — not for the faint-hearted — requiring leadership, attention to detail, and a cool head in the cold aisle.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Managing a team of 12 pickers during night operations

*

Overseeing all goods in, including thorough checks and stock logging

*

Maintaining and rotating stock across four large walk-in fridges and freezers

*

Upholding hygiene and food safety standards with rigorous documentation

*

Ensuring accurate and timely order picking in line with next-day delivery targets

*

Logging stock movements on our internal systems and managing key warehouse documentation

*

Conducting temperature checks and maintaining compliance records

What We’re Looking For:

Proven night shift experience – this is a permanent night role and demands strong adaptability

*

Leadership in a fast-paced, cold-chain or food distribution environment

*

Strong organisational skills and a hands-on approach

*

Familiarity with stock systems and food safety standards

*

Someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and leading by example
