SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Canterbury
Pay: £90- £100 per day
Start Date: January 2026

Academics are currently recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist school in Canterbury, supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a caring and patient individual who is passionate about making a positive impact on students' learning, development, and wellbeing.

The Role:

Supporting pupils with special educational needs on a 1:1 and small group basis

Assisting with personal, social, and emotional development

Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff

Helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment

Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies

The Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based or care setting)

A calm, compassionate, and resilient approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A genuine interest in supporting pupils with additional needs

Relevant qualifications or training are desirable but not essential
