In this key role, you’ll be involved in every stage of the mission—from concept to launch and in-orbit operation. As part of the core mission team, you'll collaborate with specialists across multiple engineering disciplines to push the boundaries of optical system performance in space.

Your Mission:

Lead the conceptual design and development of space-bound optical systems.
Manage work packages across multiple technical aspects of optical payloads.
Own requirements & specifications, ensuring seamless integration with mission objectives.
Oversee payload delivery, keeping schedules aligned with mission timelines.
Provide hands-on technical support throughout development, integration & testing.
Evaluate risks & propose mitigation strategies in collaboration with project teams.
Engage directly with customers, presenting a holistic view of optical payloads.
Support business development, contributing to technical proposals and future projects.Your Expertise:

Degree in Optics, Physics, or relevant Engineering discipline.
Proven aerospace or spacecraft experience in optical systems engineering.
Proficiency in optical design/analysis software (Optic Studio/Zemax, FRED preferred).
Experience with mechanical & numerical analysis tools (SolidWorks, Ansys, SigFit, Python, MATLAB).
Ability to deliver high-quality work independently & meet tight deadlines.
Strong problem-solving mindset, with a proactive approach to challenges.
