CarmichaelUK are seeking an experienced Shift Manager  to support the delivery of tunnelling operations on the prestigious Hinkley Point C project in Somerset, Bridgwater.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of one of the UK’s most high-profile infrastructure projects, working with a leading team on a technically challenging and rewarding package of works.

? Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily tunnelling operations, ensuring safety, quality, and programme requirements are met

Coordinate site teams and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery across shifts

Report to the senior management team on progress, risks, and resource needs

Maintain site records and ensure compliance with HSE standards

✅ Requirements:

Demonstrable tunnel experience, ideally with exposure to pipejacking techniques

Experience working at Sub-Agent level or above

Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills

Valid CSCS and relevant tunnelling certifications
