My client is an M&E contractor who specialize on projects in the retail and commercial sectors. They are based in Castleford and have an excellent reputation and history of producing quality, fast track projects for some leading retail clients such as Morrisons, Asda, Sainsburys, Marks & Spencer etc…

Following a restructure, they are now recruiting an Assistant Project Manager (Electrical) to join their M&E team. The position is required to provide extra resource in response to a significant increase in workload. The Assistant Project Manager (Electrical) will work closely with an Electrical Project Manager. Projects are based towards the commercial retail sector, with the role requiring you to manage a varied portfolio of contracts from initial enquiry through to final accounts. This position will mainly be based in the companies Castleford office with some days working from home and some days visiting projects across the UK, so you must be willing to travel with a Project Manager.

Essential Requirements to be successful in the role:

* Assist with the direction, planning and motivation of the site project teams

* Assist with the production of scopes of works document from given brief or drawings

* Plan and agree scheme phasing details with the design team

* Continually monitor supplier quotations against rates

* Ensure KPI monitoring is completed weekly

* Ensure Health & Safety is always compliant

Skills and experience desired:

* Previous experience as a Trainee Project Manager

* Knowledge or experience of the M&E sector

* Knowledge or experience of the construction section – preferably retail and commercial fit out

* BSc (Hons) in Project Management (desired)

* SMSTS (desired)

* First Aid Certificate (desired)

* 18th Edition (desired)
