About the Role
Accord Care Homes is committed to delivering high-quality care and support for young people in a safe, nurturing, and regulated setting. We're looking for an experienced and driven Registered Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our children’s residential home in Bury, Greater Manchester.
What You'll Be Doing
You will be responsible for the leadership, compliance, and performance of the home, ensuring a child-centred approach in every aspect of care. Your role will include:

Managing the home in line with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted Quality Standards
*
Creating a stable and therapeutic environment that supports emotional well-being
*
Leading and supervising a team of care staff, ensuring continuous development and accountability
*
Acting as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to promote a culture of safety
*
Conducting risk assessments, reviews, and safeguarding investigations where required
*
Building strong partnerships with social workers, families, and local authorities
*
Overseeing budgets, rotas, staffing levels, and health & safety within the home
*
Preparing for and responding to Ofsted inspections, audits, and performance reviews
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone with the passion and resilience to make a lasting impact. Ideally, you will have:

Level 3 Diploma for Children & Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent)
*
Working towards or completed the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare
*
At least 3 years of experience in residential childcare, with 2 years in a leadership role
*
In-depth understanding of Ofsted requirements and children’s home compliance standards
*
Confident leadership, decision-making, and crisis management skills
*
A valid UK driving licence and the ability to participate in an on-call rota
