Are you ready to shape the future of energy resilience at the heart of one of the UK's most cutting-edge programmes?

We're working with a pioneering organisation at the forefront of Nuclear Fusion Energy, delivering innovation on a global scale. As they continue to expand their capabilities, there's a critical need for a Business Resilience Lead to help protect and future-proof their national-scale programmes and infrastructure.

? The Opportunity
As Business Resilience Lead, you will play a central role in embedding and championing business continuity, emergency planning, and resilience frameworks across one of the most technically ambitious programmes in the UK. Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams-including Safety, Security, Cyber, Environmental and Engineering-you will help shape a culture of preparedness and foresight.

This is more than a compliance role. It's about building resilience thinking into the DNA of a scientific and engineering powerhouse developing technologies that could redefine our energy future.

? Key Responsibilities
* Lead the integration of business continuity and emergency planning across programmes and projects, providing technical insight and strategic guidance.
* Serve as the subject matter expert on business resilience, influencing cross-functional teams to adopt best practice.
* Develop and maintain estate-wide resilience assessments, documentation and response plans.
* Identify and mitigate emerging threats, contributing to risk registers and resilience strategies.
* Ensure alignment with government functional standards, ISO and BS compliance frameworks.
* Collaborate with cyber security and infrastructure teams to drive holistic resilience.
* Represent the organisation within national and sector-specific resilience networks, forums and workshops.

✅ What You'll Bring
* Background in business resilience, continuity planning, or a related discipline-ideally in a technical, scientific, or highly regulated environment.
* Relevant degree or equivalent experience from law enforcement, military intelligence, security or critical national infrastructure roles.
* Strong working knowledge of UK Government Functional Standards, ISO 22301 and related frameworks.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills-able to influence at all levels and across diverse stakeholder groups.
* Security Clearance: Must hold or be eligible for SC (Security Check); willingness to achieve DV clearance if required.

? Desirable Experience
* Experience in the civil nuclear, defence, or major infrastructure sectors (projects >£50m).
* Exposure to working within integrated safety, cyber security or protective security environments.
* A balance of technical acumen and strategic business awareness.

? Why Apply?
This is a rare chance to shape the business resilience landscape of a national programme developing some of the most advanced energy technologies in the world. You'll be empowered to make a real impact on organisational readiness, contribute to critical national infrastructure, and influence at a strategic level.
