Humly is recruiting on behalf of a primary school in Kendal who are looking to appoint two experienced Teaching Assistants to join their team as soon as possible. These are term-time contracts, subject to SEN pupil funding, with working hours of 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm, less 1 hour lunch). The school may also consider candidates available for 3–4 days per week.

What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting pupils across the school with classroom learning and interventions

*

Assisting teachers with lesson preparation, activities and resources

*

Providing targeted support for pupils with SEN as directed by the class teacher or SENCO

*

Encouraging positive behaviour and contributing to a safe, inclusive environment

What You’ll Bring

*

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting (essential)

*

Confidence in supporting pupils with SEN and mixed ability learning

*

A patient, adaptable and proactive approach

*

A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply) and two suitable references
