Whether you’re an experienced teacher or an ECT, this long-term role offers the chance to teach across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

Roles & Responsibilities:

As a Social Sciences Teacher, you’ll:

Plan and deliver engaging, thought-provoking lessons in Psychology, Sociology, or related Social Science subjects.

Teach across KS4 and KS5, preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations.

Adapt lessons to meet a range of learning needs and abilities, fostering inclusivity and participation.

Inspire students to develop analytical thinking, debate ideas, and apply theory to real-world situations.

Assess, track, and monitor student progress, providing meaningful feedback to help them succeed.

Maintain excellent classroom management and promote a positive, respectful learning environment.

Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and uphold high teaching standards across the department.

✅ What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Specialism in Social Sciences (Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, etc.)

Experience teaching Social Sciences at KS4 and/or KS5

Strong communication skills and a passion for engaging young minds

A proactive, adaptable, and inspiring teaching approach
