Mechanical Engineer

We’re looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer. You’ll play a key role in keeping production moving by maintaining, repairing, and improving a wide range of equipment, from agricultural machinery and HVAC systems to high-speed packing lines.

What you’ll do:

* Carry out mechanical troubleshooting and repairs across production and site utilities

* Perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime

* Support production teams with quick and effective fault-finding

* Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, drives, and packaging machinery

* The Mechanical Engineer must keep maintenance records up to date and follow H&S standards

* The Mechanical Engineer must assist with contractors and be part of the call-out rota

What we’re looking for:

* Level 3 Mechanical Maintenance qualification (or equivalent)

* Strong mechanical background with electrical aptitude

* The Mechanical Engineer must have experience with packaging machinery, agricultural kit, and fast-paced production environments

* Good knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, chain/belt drives

* 3+ years’ maintenance experience, ideally in food or FMCG

* Self-motivated team player with flexibility on shifts
