Overview

Pulse On Recruitment is working with a respected criminal defence firm in West Yorkshire to recruit a Criminal Defence Solicitor.

This role is open to:

* Newly qualified solicitors

* Solicitors slightly over-qualified

* Candidates from legal aid backgrounds

* Solicitors transitioning from civil or family law

Training and ongoing supervision will be provided where required.

Key Responsibilities

* Police station attendances

* Magistrates’ court advocacy

* Criminal case preparation and management

* Participation in police station rota (3 nights every 6 weeks – £100 per call-out)

* Client care and legal correspondence

Flexible Working

* Occasional office attendance

* Full-time or part-time options considered

Candidate Requirements

* Qualified solicitor (NQ–2 PQE preferred, flexibility offered)

* Interest in criminal defence work

* Background in criminal, legal aid, civil, or family law welcomed

* Willing to participate in police station rota

* Strong communication and organisational skills
