Mapping Coordinator - 6-month rolling contract - full-time, hybrid, in Bristol - £12.60 per hour (inside IR35) - BPSS required

Job Description:

This role is based within our Utility Solutions Practice, which provides utility-based products and services to a wide range of clients. Utility Solutions requires a Mapping Coordinator to support with the delivery of digital map-based solutions to our varied client base. Working to a high level of accuracy, the role focuses on the digitisation and georeferencing of raster data for the production of our Utility Search Map product, a composite digital model of utility assets. The role also entails the quality checking of outputs of other members of the team.

Essential Criteria

Experience using computer aided design software and GIS Mapping systems including AutoCAD and ArcGIS Pro
Knowledge of GIS methodologies and principles.
Good attention to detail.
Clear, concise communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and manage projects simultaneously.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to identify, analyse and resolve problems.
Ability to manage time effectively.
A high level of organisation and professionalism. Desirable Criteria

Experience of working in the utility industry, preferably in a service delivery environment.
Prior experience or knowledge of utilising technology for process efficiencies.
Experience in a client facing role. Responsibilities

Quality checking of deliverables
Management of own workloads and raising any challenges to delivering this
Follow processes closely to digitise utility data accurately
Processing new orders
Liaise with other teams/clients/utility companies to resolve issues and build relationships
Proactively identify opportunities to increase the efficiency & productivity of the team's processes
Proactively identify opportunities to add value to the product / service we provide to our clients
To undertake additional ad hoc activities as required
Supporting other teams within our practice as required The Individual
