Facilities Manager – Care Home

We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety, and compliance of our warm and welcoming care home in Norfolk. This is a key leadership role supporting the daily operations of the home, ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
? About the Role:
As our Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, health & safety compliance, contractor management, and upkeep of the premises. You will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure high standards are met across all areas of the home, including equipment servicing, statutory checks, and emergency procedures.
? Key Responsibilities:

Manage all maintenance tasks, repairs, and planned preventative maintenance
*
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Fire Safety, COSHH, and CQC-related standards
*
Maintain accurate records for audits and inspections
*
Liaise with external contractors and service providers
*
Oversee minor refurbishments and facility improvement projects
*
Ensure safe operation of utilities and key infrastructure (water, heating, alarms)
*
Conduct regular risk assessments and safety checks
*
Support with emergency response planning and drills
✅ What We’re Looking For:
*
Previous experience in a Facilities/Maintenance Manager role, ideally in a care home, healthcare, or similar setting
*
Strong working knowledge of health & safety legislation and compliance
*
Hands-on maintenance/technical skills (e.g., plumbing, electrics, basic repairs)
*
Experience coordinating contractors and managing budgets
*
Excellent organisational and communication skills
*
A relevant facilities or H&S qualification (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH, Level 3 Facilities Management) is desirable
*
A full UK driving licence preferred
