We are currently seeking a Graduate Technical Author to join our team at Sizewell B, the UK’s newest operational nuclear power station.
This is an exceptional opportunity to begin your career with a global engineering services organisation, working directly on-site with one of our major clients.
You’ll be supported by a knowledgeable team of Technical Authors and receive valuable training and hands-on experience in the nuclear industry.
The Role
If you’ve recently graduated with a degree in engineering and have a keen interest in nuclear energy, this role offers the ideal environment to grow your skills.
You’ll be involved in developing and maintaining technical documentation that supports the safe and efficient operation of critical nuclear systems.
Key responsibilities include:
* Gathering, verifying, and reporting on engineering data and equipment changes
* Updating operational procedures and plans for equipment maintenance
* Ensuring drawings and documentation reflect the latest build specifications
* Supporting the development of procedures, policies, and operational plans
About You
You should hold a degree in Nuclear, Electrical/Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering and be ready to apply your knowledge in a real-world setting. We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to learning.
You will also have:
* A good understanding of engineering data and technical documentation
* The ability to clearly communicate complex technical information
* Competency with software tools used for planning and reporting
* A flexible, adaptable approach with strong problem-solving skills
* The ability to work independently and manage tasks through to completion
* A genuine interest in sustainable energy and continuous improvement
Knowledge of nuclear systems is an advantage, but not essential—we’ll provide training and support.
