Salary: £50,000 - £70,000

Civil Engineering contractor our looking to appoint an experienced Civils Site Manager to deliver a £2.5m groundworks project in Barrow-in-Furness. This is a permanent position with an immediate start for the right candidate.

The Role
- You will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Managing site activities from start to completion
- Coordinating groundworks, drainage, and associated civils packages
- Managing subcontractors, plant, and direct labour
- Ensuring compliance with H&S, RAMS, and site procedures
- Liaising with clients, engineers, and internal teams
- Monitoring progress against programme and reporting to senior management
- Maintaining quality control and site documentation

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on civils / groundworks projects
- SMSTS (essential)
- First Aid at Work
- Strong knowledge of groundworks, drainage, and civils packages
- Ability to run projects independently
- Good communication and leadership skills
