Electrician – Field-Based (Central Belt, Scotland)

Location: Central Belt, Scotland
Salary: £40,000–£45,000 + company van + fuel card + benefits

About the Role

We are working with a highly respected lighting solutions provider that specialises in the design, installation, and commissioning of bespoke, sustainable lighting systems across Scotland. They deliver tailored lighting projects in commercial, educational, heritage, and hospitality settings, combining aesthetic impact with technical precision and energy efficiency.

As a field-based electrician, you’ll play a key role in executing high-spec lighting installations throughout the Central Belt. You’ll be supported by an experienced technical and design team and will be given the autonomy to manage site-based work, uphold quality standards, and ensure safe, professional delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out installation, testing, and commissioning of LED and smart lighting systems

*

Conduct electrical retrofits, upgrades, and maintenance

*

Read and interpret lighting plans, wiring diagrams, and system layouts

*

Ensure all work meets 18th Edition regulations and health & safety standards

*

Provide clear communication with clients and project stakeholders

*

Travel to and work on a variety of client sites across the Central Belt

What We’re Looking For

*

Fully qualified electrician (City & Guilds 2365 / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)

*

Up-to-date 18th Edition certification

*

Experience with commercial or architectural lighting systems preferred

*

Strong troubleshooting and commissioning skills

*

Full UK driving licence

*

Professional, reliable and able to work independently in the field
