Level 2 Teaching Assistant - EYFS – Primary School Location: Preston, PR1
Contract: Full-time 
Start Date: ASAP 

About the Role We are seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ learning, development, and wellbeing across the school day.

Key Responsibilities
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils as required

Assist pupils with literacy, numeracy, and phonics activities

Support children with SEND, EAL, or additional learning needs

Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive learning attitudes

Support pupils during lunchtimes, transitions, and activities

Prepare classroom resources and assist with displays

Observe, record, and feedback on pupil progress

Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and school policies at all times

Essential Requirements
Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

Experience working with primary-aged children

A positive, patient, and enthusiastic approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A commitment to safeguarding and child welfare

Desirable (Not Essential)
Experience supporting pupils with SEND

Phonics or early years experience

First Aid or safeguarding training
