Job title: Senior Town Planner

I'm currently working with a well-established and highly regarded planning consultancy that's looking to appoint a Senior Town Planner to strengthen their growing Leeds team.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced planner who wants to work on a diverse and high-quality workload, with real scope to influence projects, build client relationships, and progress their career within a supportive, professional environment.

The Opportunity

You'll be joining a collaborative planning team working across a wide range of sectors, including residential, commercial, mixed-use and strategic land. The role offers a strong balance of autonomy and support, making it ideal for someone ready to step into a senior position or consolidate their experience at this level.

Key Responsibilities

Managing and delivering planning applications and appeals from inception to determination

Providing planning advice to clients, landowners and developers

Leading smaller projects and supporting junior team members

Engaging with local authorities, stakeholders and consultants

Contributing to business development and client relationship management

About You

MRTPI qualified (or working towards with significant experience)

Strong experience within UK town planning (private or public sector)

Confident managing your own caseload and client relationships

Commercially aware with excellent written and verbal communication skills

A proactive, team-focused approach
