SEMH Primary Teacher - Bournemouth
SEMH specialist school
We are looking for a Therapeutic Primary Teacher for a specialist SEMH school in Bournemouth. The school caters for students who cannot access mainstream education and has a therapeutic approach to teaching and learning with an onsite team of Therapy staff. The class sizes are small (typically 7 pupils per class) and focus on students' individual needs.
The school is a special school supporting young people from the age of 5-11 who present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties, associated with a range of special educational needs, including autism.

Therapeutic teaching approach
Experience in teaching with emotional regulation and with positive behaviour/de-escalation strategies
Positive role model to support communication with a sensitive, nurturing, and consistent approach
Experience with SEMH, Trauma, Sensory processing, social communication teaching background
