Head of IT – (Infrastructure, Hands on, Azure, Leadership, Management, Strategy, 3rd Party Vendors, Cyber) – Permanent – Manchester/Hybrid

Charles Simon Associates have been retained to find a Head of IT on a permanent basis for a well known national business based in the North West. Our client have several offices in the North West as well as further afield in London.

Location: Manchester/Hybrid (onsite when needed)

Salary: Up to £85,000 Per Annum D.O.E Plus Bonus and Benefits

Skills/Requirements for the Head of IT:

* Previous experience within a similar role

* Managing team of up to 10 staff at most

* Hands on when and where required within the Microsoft stack: Azure, O365 etc

* Strong strategy execution

* Extensive Stakeholder Management both internally and externally with 3rd party vendors

* Understanding of Cyber Security, and what is needed to complete Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO(phone number removed)

* Previous experience of running teams/staff who are involved in application creation and management

Start date is ASAP for the Head of IT

The Head of IT will be responsible for:

* Both defining and recommending the infrastructure strategy moving forwards for the business

* Executing a process of standardisation across the IT landscape

* Ensuring reliable BAU operations across the business ben that from internal or external partners

* Controlling the ISO(phone number removed) and Cyber Essentials certifications and continuation to adhere to these principals moving forward into 2027 and beyond

* Partnering with other areas of the business on projects and programs of work where needed

* Leading the infrastructure function across the business to enable complete user and stakeholder satisfaction

* Providing an escalation point for all incident and compliance issues

* Acting as an additional engineer where needed for holiday or sickness cover
