Mechanical Fitter, Poole, £19ph

Purpose
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will have hands-on experience in mechanical precision fitting, ideally with some machining background. You’ll be confident interpreting engineering drawings and ensuring components meet customer specifications. This role may involve occasional travel (national and international), paid at an enhanced rate.

Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will:

Assemble and fit mechanical precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Ensure all fitted parts meet dimensional and quality standards.
Use conventional hand tools and mechanical equipment to carry out fitting tasks.
Perform alignment, adjustment, and calibration of mechanical assemblies.
Background
The successful Mechanical Fitter will have:

Experience in mechanical fitting and assembly.
Familiarity with conventional machining (advantageous).
Proficiency in using hand tools and measuring equipment.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
A proactive approach to quality and continuous improvement.
