SEN Teaching Assistant (SENTA) - Chesterfield (Primary & Secondary SEN Settings)
Start Date: ASAP (notice periods accommodated)
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (5 days per week) - 8.30am - 4pm - Working hours
Location: Chesterfield and surrounding areas
Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time role supporting children and young people with additional needs? We are recruiting SENTAs to work across a group of specialist SEN settings in the Chesterfield area, supporting both primary and secondary-aged learners.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone confident, resilient, and passionate about making a real difference in specialist education.
As a SENTA, you will be supporting pupils with a range of needs, including:
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
Emotional, Social & Behavioural Difficulties (ESBD)
You will work closely with teaching staff and wider support teams to provide a safe, structured, and positive learning environment where pupils can thrive.
We are looking for candidates who:
Have experience working in SEN settings (primary or secondary)
Are confident and calm with behaviour management
Can build strong relationships and provide consistent support
Are available Monday to Friday, 5 days per week
Are proactive, patient, and able to adapt to different settings and pupilsTeam Teach training is desirable (but not essential).
A TA qualification is NOT essential for these roles - we welcome applications from experienced support staff with the right attitude and SEN background.
