We’re working with a fantastic organisation that provides trauma-informed services to families impacted by domestic abuse – and they’re looking for compassionate, driven individuals to join their team in Preston.
This is a brilliant opportunity, especially if you’ve always wanted to work with children and make a real difference, but haven’t quite known where to begin. You’ll even have the chance to work towards a Level 4 Domestic and Sexual Abuse Support Worker qualification – fully supported and funded.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Supporting children and young people (CYP) affected by domestic abuse, both 1:1 and in group settings.
*
Promoting emotional wellbeing and safety, empowering CYP to express themselves and feel heard.
*
Working closely with parents/carers to encourage positive, healthy family relationships.
*
Delivering tailored, trauma-informed support that reflects the diverse needs of the local community.
*
Creating and maintaining child-centred safety and support plans.
*
Engaging in multi-agency working and contributing to safeguarding reports where needed.
What We’re Looking For:
*
Experience supporting CYP and families, particularly around safeguarding/child protection processes.
*
Confidence in facilitating activities and using age-appropriate, creative engagement methods.
*
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
*
A real passion for supporting vulnerable children and making a long-term difference.
