Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer? Do you consider yourself to be hands on and an asset to a busy team? Are you based in or around Hartlepool?

We have a permanent opportunity available within TATA Steel’s Hartlepool works. This role is ideal for someone with heavy industry, project management and CDM regulations experience. The successful applicant will be a degree educated Electrical Engineer who has the capacity to deliver on major capital projects and large scale engineering projects.

Role: Electrical Engineer (projects)

Location: TATA Steel, Hartlepool Works, Brenda Rd, Hartlepool TS25 2EG

Salary: up to £60k (dependent upon experience)

Shift Patterns: Days

Responsibilities:

*

Delivering complex engineering projects with budgets from £100k-£5m

*

Working on projects to help deliver world class efficiency, safety and sustainability of operations

*

Supporting on major capital projects

*

Planning, designing and executing electrical work from concept to commissioning

*

Collaborating with internal and external teams to deliver technical solutions

*

Coordinating with cross functional teams to ensure project objects are met

*

Creating and reviewing electrical design specifications, schematics and drawings

*

Ensuring any designs comply with industry standards, codes and regulations

*

Overseeing installation and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment

Essential requirements:

*

Degree educated in Electrical Engineering

*

3+ years industry experience (Heavy industry/Manufacturing and/or large scale engineering environments)

*

The ability to project manage and lead a team with proven experience of this

*

Familiarity with the construction (design and management) regulations (CDM)

*

Sound understanding of UK health and Safety legislation including risk assessments

*

Strong verbal and written communication skill
