We are currently recruiting for a full time  veterinary surgeon position. We are an independent small animal veterinary practice and enjoy a great work like balance. Our ethics are simple : we aim to be as flexible as possible for our staff as and when required.

The practice has been based in Glasgow since 1900  but this year we took the leap of expanding into much larger modern custom designed  premises.

We have a dedicated Imaging room (Digital X-rays / ultrasound), dedicated Dental room with Dental X-ray machine and fully equipped dental tools / IM3 dental drill machine.

Both the Dental and X-ray rooms have their own anaesthetic machines.

There are 3 Consultation rooms , 2 kitted out Surgical Theatres each with modern ADE Anaesthetic Machines and a common Prep room.

The vets are supported by an exceptional team of 4 qualified experienced RVNs, 2 ACAs and 2 receptionists. We have a large staff room where, as a team we meet for catch ups, case discussions and of course a coffee.

The office space gives us the chance to meet in private should you ever feel the need to sound off or just share your thoughts.

Most importantly, the vets have complete autonomy. The team thrives on input. Your voice will always be heard. As a veterinary surgeon with 35 years experience the Practice Principal is also on hand to support wherever needed.

We work closely with colleagues who can provide further training a specialist referral clinic for certificate/ Masters training. We also have a senior consultant vet on hand who can come into the practice to provide training in various aspects of more complicated surgery.

The out of hours service is provided by other clinics so there is no OOH duty rota. Our working days are Mondays to Fridays 9am to 6:30pm and a one in four Saturdays 9am to 1pm only .

There are 28 days annual holiday days plus 10 public holidays (pro rata for part time).

Salaries are based on experience, qualifications and hours worked with a range of £37k to £65k depending on experience.

Whatever your circumstances, do get in touch to see if we have a good fit. Mums, Dads, new graduates, those looking for partnership opportunities or further education will all be considered.  The rota can be tailored to fit the team and we have the support network in place
