Job Title: Whole Life Costing Manager

Location: Portsmouth (HM Naval Base)

Service Area: Commercial

Hours of Work: 37 Per week

Salary: £45,000 - £58,000

What You’ll be doing:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Whole Life Cost Modelling Manager to join our growing commercial team to develop cost modelling capability for KBS Maritime, supporting infrastructure investment for Portsmouth Naval Base.

A whole life cost approach will inform investment decisions and help to demonstrate the best value for money for the customer, by modelling the long-term costs over the life of assets. This is a new role within KBS Maritime which will add real commercial value to the enterprise, improving the infrastructure for Portsmouth Naval Base now and in the future.

You’ll also provide financial modelling to support investment decisions by modelling through life costs of assets across the naval base to ensure the needs of end-users are met and develop a whole life cost modelling capability for KBS Maritime by working closely with operations and project colleagues.

You’ll Have:

3 years+ experience gained in a similar role in estimating, cost modelling, cost engineering, and be skilled at cost estimates and cost analysis with an eye for detail. Whilst Cost Modelling experience gained in the Construction, Estates Management /Facilities Management or Defence sector is a distinct advantage, experience working with public sector clients is desirable along with working knowledge of NEC suite of contracts.

About you:

You’ll be a proactive self-starter with a can-do attitude with the ability to evidence this. Additionally, you’ll be comfortable with autonomous working and leading initiatives, as well as being a strong collaborator with effective, professional and proactive support for the wider business.

Essentially, you’ll be well-versed in data and financial analysis including economic analysis and be comfortable with problem solving whilst striving for continuous improvement.
