Due to continued expansion, we're recruiting an experienced Technical Sales & Support Engineer to join our well-established client.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparation of new machinery prior to sale, repair of customer’s machinery in workshop and sometimes on site and assisting with technical support given to customers and independent engineers via telephone, face to face and other correspondence methods.
Key Responsibilities for Technical Sales & Support Engineer:
Assist with technical support for customers and dealers, sometimes these are users and sometimes engineers. This involves face to face, telephone, email and other methods of communication.
Preparation of new machines in workshop, to include PDI and installation of options.
Service and repair of customers machines both in our workshop and sometimes out in the field.
Technical and Warranty repair and fault finding of customers machines.
Assist with training and advice to customer’s engineers, dealers and service partners.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Previous sales and territory management experience is essential.
Relevant Apprenticeship must already have been completed.
Qualifications in plant or agricultural machinery engineering or a related field.
Good mechanical, low voltage DC electric and hydraulic skills.
A good knowledge of hydrostatic drive pumps and systems is desirable.
Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills.
Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics and prove fault diagnosis without component swapping.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (face to face, telephone, written and other methods).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience + commission.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm.
