Good Afternoon,

I am currently representing Westminster Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3- 6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer this role will be: WC2N5HR - Hybrid working subject to service needs and site inspections

The right candidate will:

* Provide expert technical advice and sign-off

* Lead statutory electrical inspections, testing regimes, and remedial works programmes

* Review and approve electrical designs, specifications, reports, and contractor proposals

* Oversee and challenge M&E contractors, ensuring compliance, value for money, and safe delivery

* Support capital projects, refurbishments, and planned works from an electrical perspective

* Identify and manage electrical risks, producing clear technical reports for senior officers

We require the following:

* Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering

* Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards chartership (desirable)

* Strong working knowledge of BS 7671, Electricity at Work Regulations, HTMs, and relevant British Standards

* Proven experience in a local authority, public sector, or complex multi-asset estate
