Engineer (Construction)

Sphere solutions are working with a national housebuilder to recruit a Construction Engineer who will manage the design of infrastructure and groundwork packages for residential developments. Your main responsibilities will include and not be limited to;
* Arranging and managing service enquiries for new developments, ensuring timely payments for required utilities.
* Oversee designs produced by external consulting engineers, covering foundations, estate roads, sewers and Section 38, 104 and 278 works.
* Secure and manage adoption agreements (S38, S104, S278), ensuring bonds are set up, reduced and closed on time.
* Input into structural designs for superstructure elements.
* Review consultant designs to ensure value engineering, accuracy and compliance with regulations.
* Work closely with the Technical Team and wider business to support the discharge of planning conditions and building regulations.
What we’re looking for:
* Experience in a similar role with a housing developer
* Strong knowledge of estate road and sewer construction & inspection
* Understanding of Highway and Water Industry standards
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
* Construction related qualifications (Degree/HND/HNC) desirable
