Our client, a leading player in the engineering sector, is seeking a dynamic Lead Design Engineer - Electrical to join their talented team in Ulverston, Cumbria. If you're passionate about electrical engineering and thrive in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you!

About the Role:
As a Lead Design Engineer, you will be at the forefront of technical management for customer orders within a project team. Your ability to communicate effectively with both clients and internal stakeholders will be essential in delivering economical and timely solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee technical management of projects to meet client expectations and internal procedures.
Act as the primary technical point of contact for project teams.
Participate in tender-to-project handover meetings and lead project kick-offs and reviews.
Conduct site surveys, adhering to health and safety regulations.
optimise project budgets by utilising standard parts and designs.
Lead design review meetings, ensuring thorough communication of technical information.
Produce various technical drawings including circuit diagrams, cable schedules, and interface drawings.
Interface with the Factory for manufacturing and testing queries.
Support the Tendering team with technical advice for client inquiries.

Qualifications & Skills:
Essential:

HNC level in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
Proven experience in technical project management.
Proficiency in producing electrical drawings.
Exceptional communication and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and stakeholder management.

Desirable:

HND level in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
Experience in manufacturing/utilities environments.
Factory acceptance testing experience.
Commercial experience.
