A modern secondary academy in Swindon is looking for a Design Technology Teacher to join its team from September 2025. The role offers an excellent opportunity to teach DT at KS3 and KS4, with the chance to develop A-Level teaching as the department grows.

The school offers an integrated STEM programme and has recently invested in new workshop facilities, including laser cutters, CNC routers, and CAD suites.

Role Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging practical DT lessons across the age range

*

Use modern digital tools and traditional techniques to develop student projects

*

Contribute to the school’s STEM agenda and DT curriculum design

*

Run or support enrichment clubs such as engineering, design challenge, or Young Engineers

Candidate Requirements:

DT/Product Design or Engineering degree and PGCE/QTS

*

Competent with health and safety, risk assessment, and workshop management

*

Eager to contribute to whole-school innovation and cross-curricular learning
