Our client is a trusted leader in Technical Services and Asset Management with a national presence.

They are expanding fast, and are looking for a sharp, strategic Financial Controller to take ownership of their finance operations and partner with senior leadership to drive business growth and performance.

This isn’t just about managing the numbers – it’s about influencing decisions, improving systems, and building a finance function that supports long-term success for the company and your career.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead the preparation of accurate monthly management accounts and annual statutory reports under UK GAAP.

Own financial integrity — overseeing compliance, VAT, tax, and audit processes.

Deliver actionable insights through financial analysis, dashboards, and forecasting.

Drive budgeting and forecasting cycles in collaboration with department heads.

Manage cash flow and optimise working capital to support strategic goals.

Mentor and develop a small, high-performing finance team.

Continuously improve financial systems and processes (Sage 50).

Partner with the Finance Director to shape financial strategy and performance.

What We’re Looking For

Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).

5+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 2 in a Financial Controller or senior accounting role.

Exceptional analytical and communication skills – able to translate complex data into business insight.

Hands-on experience with financial reporting, consolidation, and UK GAAP.

Strong working knowledge of Excel and modern financial systems.

A proactive problem-solver who thrives on improving processes and driving results.

Leadership capability — able to inspire and guide a small team.
