Van Driver Yard Operative – £30,000 | Full-Time | Staines

A well-established specialist contractor based in Staines is seeking a dependable Van Driver / Yard Operative to support daily operations across London and the South East. This varied role combines driving duties with general yard responsibilities.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position suitable for someone who enjoys practical work and being part of a team. You'll be delivering materials to job sites and helping to manage stock, cleanliness, and organisation in the yard.

Key Responsibilities

Drive a company van to deliver and collect materials from sites
Load and unload materials safely
Assist with general yard operations, including stock control
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the yard and van
Perform routine vehicle checks and report issues
Operate a forklift (if licensed)
Liaise with office and site staff to coordinate deliveries
Requirements

Full UK driving licence (clean preferred)
Comfortable driving in and around London
Confident with manual handling tasks
Good communication and time management skills
Team player with a can-do attitude
Experience in a similar environment preferred
Desirable (but not essential)

Forklift licence
Familiarity with FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme)
