A well-regarded independent preparatory school in Shropshire is seeking a compassionate and proactive Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a Year 1 pupil. This is a short-term role with an immediate start, continuing until the end of term on Monday 8th July.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support a pupil who is currently facing some behavioural challenges, including occasional outbursts of frustration. The school is non-selective and places a strong emphasis on nurturing individual needs in a caring and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Providing calm and consistent one-to-one support in the classroom

Helping the pupil stay engaged with learning activities
*
Implementing strategies to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour
*
Liaising with teaching staff to ensure a cohesive approach
Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with children in an educational or SEN setting
*
Patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
*
Able to manage behaviour calmly and confidently
*
Available for an immediate start
