Job Title: HGV Class 1 Tramping Driver
Location: Oxfordshire (UK-wide travel required)
Salary: From £16.50 per hour (45 hours per week) + overtime paid at time and a half

Job Purpose
Due to continued expansion, my client is actively seeking HGV Class 1 Tramping drivers to join our operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting mats and plant across various routes. This role requires strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle flatbed deliveries. As a driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service.
Since deliveries are made to client sites, professionalism and effective customer service skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities
Operate lorries to transport goods and plant to designated locations
Ensure safe loading and unloading of cargo
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding schedules and potential delays
Assist in vehicle maintenance by reporting issues promptlyEssential Requirements
Valid HGV Class 1 Licence
Valid CPC Licence
Comfortable securing loads and plant using ratchet straps
Ability to pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug/alcohol screening
Strong navigation skills and familiarity with UK routes
Ability to follow exact instructions
Good interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach
Reliable, motivated, and able to work independentlyDesirable Skills
Experience with Wagon & Drag vehicles
