Job Title: Quality Inspector - Automotive Department

? Responsible For: Ensuring the quality and compliance of painted automotive components
? Working Hours & Pay Rates
Early Shift (06:00 - 14:00): £13.25 per hour
Late Shift (14:00 - 22:00): £13.75 per hour
? Role Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Quality Inspector to join our Paint Department within a leading automotive manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in maintaining high-quality standards by inspecting painted components throughout the production process, ensuring they meet both customer specifications and internal quality benchmarks.
? Key Responsibilities
Perform visual and dimensional inspections of painted components at various production stages
Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards
Conduct paint quality audits, outflow checks, and packaging inspections
Accurately document inspection results and maintain traceability records
Identify, contain, and escalate non-conforming products
Collaborate with production teams to uphold quality standards and resolve issues
Support customer and supplier site inspections when required
Maintain a clean and organised work environment in line with 5S principles
Provide support across departments when needed
? Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 1 year experience in a quality role within a manufacturing or automotive environment
Familiarity with industry standards such as IATF 16949 and ISO 14001
Basic numeracy, literacy, and IT skills
Full UK driving licence required
Willingness to undertake further training and development
