Financial Reporting Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to lead our client through its first IFRS 102 financial statements and first external audit. This is a high‑impact role where you'll build their group reporting structure from the ground up, establish robust controls, and create our first consolidated reporting model.
Reporting directly to the Group CFO, you'll work closely with the Finance Manager and Head of FP&A to deliver high‑quality financial reporting and a smooth audit process. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating structure, implementing best practice, and shaping a new reporting environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the transition to IFRS 102, including accounting policies, consolidation templates, and reporting standards
Build the group's first consolidated reporting model and skeleton accounts
Prepare first‑time consolidated financial statements
Project‑manage the company's first external audit and act as the main audit contact
Implement strong reporting controls, documentation, and year‑end processes
Enhance stock, asset, and plant‑level reporting
Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and FP&A to provide insight and drive improvements
Train the finance team on IFRS 102, audit readiness, and group reportingAbout You:
Strong experience preparing consolidated accounts to audit standard
In‑depth knowledge of IFRS 102, ideally including first‑time adoption
Experience supporting or leading a first‑time audit is highly desirable
Background in manufacturing or tech is beneficial
Professionally qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA)
Structured, disciplined, and confident building processes from scratchThis is an interim role running from February to July, with the potential to become permanent
