SEND Teaching Assistants - Northfield, Birmingham

We are currently recruiting multiple full-time Teaching Assistants to work in a supportive and inclusive primary school in Northfield. These roles are based within the school's resource base, supporting a small group of children with additional learning and behavioural needs.

The children you will be supporting may find it challenging to access traditional sit-down lessons and require provision-based support to help them engage with the curriculum in a way that meets their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting a small group of pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs
* Adapting activities to help pupils access the curriculum effectively
* Providing structured, practical, and nurturing support outside of traditional classroom settings where needed
* Supporting emotional regulation, engagement, and positive behaviour
* Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to implement tailored support strategies
* Creating a safe, calm, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children in a school, SEND, or similar setting - essential
* Experience supporting children with additional needs and/or behavioural challenges - highly desirable
* A patient, resilient, and flexible approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
