Are you highly organised, customer-focused, and ready to be the backbone of a busy hire desk? Our client — a well-established and highly respected name in the plant hire industry — is looking for a dynamic Hire and Sales Coordinator to join their thriving team.
About the Role
As a key point of contact for customers, you will be responsible for coordinating the hire and sales of plant machinery and equipment. You'll handle customer enquiries, manage bookings, liaise with drivers and engineers, and ensure every job runs smoothly from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
* Handling inbound hire and sales enquiries via phone and email
* Creating quotes and processing orders
* Coordinating deliveries, collections, and off-hires
* Liaising with internal teams including transport, workshop, and sales
* Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
* Updating hire management systems and keeping records accurate
About You
* Previous experience in a hire desk, sales coordination, or customer service role (plant/tool hire preferred)
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Strong IT literacy (experience with CRM or hire management software is a bonus)
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
* A proactive attitude with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
